Removing Agapanthus

While producing a wonderful display of large blue or white flower heads in the late summer and early autumn, agapanthus set seed easily and spread rapidly, often invading native bush.

Preparation

To clear this from your garden first spray with Kiwicare Weed Weapon Extra killing the plant down to the roots. It can then be dug up and be disposed of in green waste, or even composted.

The area will be depleted of nutrients and the soil in general poor condition. To regenerate the area again for gardening, mix in Garden Mix Plus at a 50/50 ratio and apply lime.
